Whilst ordinary hot sauces rely mainly on their heat, Horseshoe Brand’s Chipotle Hot Sauce adds a deep, smoky dimension to the flavour. The base of smoked chipotle chillies is complemented by roasted garlic, cayenne pepper and lime juice, creating a layered, intense flavour that goes beyond mere heat. Smoking the chillies gives the sauce a complexity that you don’t often find in a standard hot sauce.

The sauce is incredibly versatile: use it as a marinade for meat, in soups and stews to add extra depth, or simply as a seasoning for spare ribs and chicken. A dash added to a stew or chilli con carne instantly gives it a smoky undertone without you having to spend hours smoking it yourself, and when used as a marinade, the sauce penetrates the meat well, ensuring the flavour isn’t confined to the outside. The combination of smokiness and heat makes Chipotle Hot Sauce ideal for those who love complex, full-bodied flavours and want something more than a standard hot sauce.

Once opened, keep refrigerated and shake well before use to ensure the flavours remain well blended and you get a consistent result every time. By sealing the sauce tightly and keeping it refrigerated, it will retain its full, smoky flavour for longer.

Whether it’s a hearty stew in winter or grilled spare ribs in summer, this sauce adds a distinctive smoky depth to both, giving the dish that little bit of extra character.
